The STOP button or a related safety switch isn't reading as it should. The mower won't run until its safety circuit is satisfied.
Common causes
Grass, grit or water under or around the STOP button or hatch.
A sticking button or switch that isn't returning to its normal position.
A safety-circuit or switch-cord fault.
How to fix it
Press the STOP button firmly a few times and clean around it so it moves freely.
Check the hatch or cover closes fully and nothing is trapped under it.
If the button feels stuck, or the fault stays with everything clean, the switch needs a dealer.
