The mower is reporting a battery that can't hold or deliver charge as expected. Automower batteries are consumables — most last around 3–5 seasons before they need replacing.
Common causes
A battery near the end of its life, holding far less than its original capacity.
Cold weather temporarily reducing capacity early or late in the season.
The mower struggling to get home, so it runs flat before reaching the station.
A wiring or charging-board fault stopping the battery charging fully.
How to fix it
Let the mower charge fully, then watch whether run time is much shorter than when it was new.
Make sure it can always return home — check for the loop and charging errors above if it can't.
Note the battery's age; if it's several seasons old and run time has collapsed, fit a genuine replacement battery.
If a new, fully-charged battery still triggers the fault, have the charging electronics checked.
