An ultrasonic object-detection sensor isn't reporting correctly. These sensors let the mower slow down before it touches obstacles.
Common causes
The sensor face is dirty, wet, or covered in grass, dust or spider webs.
Physical damage to the sensor.
An internal sensor or wiring fault.
How to fix it
Gently wipe the ultrasonic sensor windows on the front of the mower with a soft, damp cloth.
Clear cobwebs and clippings that build up around the sensors.
If a specific sensor keeps failing after cleaning, it needs replacing.
