Husqvarna Automower error 148

Chassis collision

Fault / warning

Also shown as E148 · fault code 148 · message 148

Your Automower registers a collision when its floating body is pushed inward — normally when it bumps something solid. This code means that's happening more often than expected, or the sensor is reporting a hit that isn't really there.

Common causes

How to fix it

  1. Walk the lawn and clear anything the mower could be hitting, especially near the spot where it stops.
  2. Lift the mower and press the outer body firmly — it should move slightly and spring straight back. If it feels stiff, clean grass and soil out of the seam between body and chassis.
  3. Check the body is clipped onto all of its mounts and sits level.
  4. If it keeps reporting a collision in the same place with nothing there, the collision sensor or its magnet is likely failing — book a service check.
