Reference station communication problem

The mower has lost its connection to the EPOS reference station during operation. The station's LED is worth reading before anything else: it is a diagnostic, not just a power light.

Common causes

• The reference station unpowered, or needing a power cycle.
• Installation limits exceeded — too far, too low, or too little sky view.
• Metal objects near the station, such as a metal fence, interfering with the signal.
• The station never completed pairing during app setup, or has lost it.
• A work area too large or too broken up by hills and buildings for one station's signal to reach all of it.
• A technical fault in the station itself, shown by a flashing red LED.

How to fix it

1. Check the reference station is connected to power. Then turn the mower off and on, and unplug the station for a full minute before plugging it back in.
2. Confirm the installation still meets its requirements: at least 135° of clear sky, mounted at least 2 m high, and less than 100 m from the mower — reduced further if there are obstacles between them.
3. Remove metal objects near the station, metal fencing especially, then power-cycle it again.
4. Re-pair or reinstall the station from the app: open the map, scroll to Reference station, and choose Reinstall.
5. If the LED keeps flashing red after a restart, stop — that is a technical error and needs a dealer.
6. If the signal simply doesn't reach the whole area, move the station somewhere it does, exclude the shadowed part with a stay-out zone, or ask a dealer whether the site needs a second station.
